MEET
MONICA MARIN

Monica was born and raised in Madrid, Spain.  She attended the Complutense University of Madrid, where she graduated with a B.A. in communications and public relations. She then moved to London where she held several executive positions at marketing and hospitality companies.  Her numerous celebrity clients demanded the best wine and cuisine.  In order to meet the expectations of her famous clientele, Monica enrolled in the Wine and Spirits Education Trust where she successfully completed all the wine certification levels and earned the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits. She was later accepted in the Master of Wine program.

CLIENTS + SERVICES

Monica has worked since 2010 as Director of Education for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in Los Angeles as well as head instructor for the Wine Scholar Guild certifying thousands of wine consumer enthusiasts and sommeliers. She was also the advanced level instructor for The Wine School LATAM, teaching courses in Spanish and English in many countries in Latin America.

Monica is also an expert in organizing private wine tastings for corporations and many other firms both in person and via webinar such as Deloitte US, Stanford Professional Women of Los Angeles, Immigrant Food restaurants, Satellite Wine Bar Santa Barbara, Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District PTA, Patron-Bacardi, and many others.
